Liudmila Martsevich
Liudmila Martsevich was born in Belarus and lives in Kiev / Ukraine. The pianist is a People's Artist of Ukraine and professor at the National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music. She studied music education in Odessa and completed her studies at the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine. She regularly gave solo concerts accompanied by symphony and chamber orchestras under the direction of famous Russian and Ukrainian conductors. Liudmila toured France, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Korea, Poland, USA, China, Kuwait and all countries of the former Soviet Union. In total she gave more than 7000 concerts. Liudmila Martsevich was awarded the honorary title of "Honoured Artist of Ukraine" in 1982 and "People's Artist of Ukraine" in 1994. The pianist's repertoire includes works by classical, romantic, impressionist and contemporary authors. She has made numerous recordings
for Ukrainian radio and television. In 1976 Liudmila Martsevich began teaching at the Kiev State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 1987 she became associate professor there and in 2002 professor at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
